A Day for Daises - Night and Day & Challenge #23 - "Secret Ingredients"

I have created an A5 gatefold card for the new ADFD challenge and have used the secret ingredients.  The fabulous image is 'Apple Girl'  a wonderful image as Autumn approaches.

The front of the gatefold card showing the main image 'Apple Girl' which has been coloured by me using my new Prismacolour pencils.   They are so creamy and a joy to work with, the colours are amazing.  Glitter and Stickles Glitz have been used to highlight the image which is mounted onto cream paper from my stash.  The edges of the card have been inked.   This has then been mounted onto a frame created using an A5 aperture mask from That Special Touch of Mica which I have cut out.  This has been embossed on Coredinations Paper and distressed with sandpaper and lovely beads have been sown onto the front of the frame.  This is the first time I have used the masks and I am delighted with how it has worked out.  I have used lace and glittered flowers from my stash plus some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The backing paper is Webster's Pages.

Further detail of card showing front and inside of one panel decorated with Bo Bunny paper and sticker mounted onto further distressed paper.

The inside of the gatefold card showing both Webster's Pages and Bo Bunny papers.  A mounted panel is provided for a greeting and two further mounter distressed panels, one with a quote and one with sticker has been used.  I think this card looks very shabby chic.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at this card.  Let me know what you think as this is still all a bit new to me.

Take care,

Summer Fun and flowers.

I find this image very evocative bring back many happy memories of long summer days.

The image is coloured using Promarker pens and the edges have been inked.  This image is delightful.  It captures the essence of happy summer days, the warmth and flowers of childhood.  It would be a super card for a sister or childhood friend, or a daughter.  The backing paper is from Wild Rose Studio with other papers from my stash. The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and really reflect the image.  I have used Spellbinders to make the rose die cut and the leaves.  The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The lovely butterfly is a Magnolia die and a deep egde Martha Stewart punch has been used to create the daisy border which I have decorated with gems.  The ribbons are from my stash.

Well thats another crafting day almost done.  I have enjoyed making this card so much.  I love to try and match colours and papers with the image and add an appropriate verse.   Thank you for reading this post.  I hope you like the card and can get some happy thoughts from this lovely image.

Take care,

Teddy Bea only Challenge #14

This is a cute shaker card featuring the fabulous Miss Teddy Bea which I am entering into the Teddy Bea only Challenge #14  for Teddy Bo & Co.

This Teddy Bea image is lovely and fun.  I have used my promarker pens to colour the digi image which is mounted on a sky background paper.  I thought the image would be great for a child's birthday card and used this as a shaker card, mounted behind acetate and with lots of lovely shaky sequins to add extra fun.  I have used lots of die cut embellishments using various dies and Coredinations paper which has been distressed using sandpaper.  I am a bit obsessed with this at the moment.  Lovely flowers have been used to decorate the card, mostly from Wild  Orchid Crafts.   A birthday greeting topper from Craftwork Cards and a spotty button from my stash with some twine from The Ribbon Girl - I think, and a charm has been added.

The inside of the card showing die cut circle for writing of a greeting and decorated with die cuts.  Featuring my new cutting die 'Heartland America'  from Cheery Lynn Designs, this is an amazing cutting die and a butterfly cutting die.

Thank you for looking at this post.  I hope you like the card.

Sending warmest wishes.

Celebrating Wild Orchid Birthday Challenge -28.

A Special Card to celebrate a Special Birthday.  Congratulations to Wild Orchid Challenge Blog's first Birthday.

The image on this card is from Simply Betty Stamps and is from the Steampunk Romance  Range and is called Annie.  The image has been coloured by me using promarker pens.  The image is mounted on fabulous papers from Kaisercraft - The Chanteuse Collection.   These are the most amazing papers.  Vintage digital style papers have also been used.  The card is decoraged with vintage style lace and embellishments from the  Chanteuse Collection and various die cuts using Tim Holts cutting dies.  The greeting is 'birthday wishes' and as it celebrates a Special Birthday a lock and key have been used so that the card would be appropriate for a very special birthday.   I have done a lot of work with distressing inks on the card and emellishments.   The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the quality and colours are excellent as always.

I have had a lot of fun making this card, using lots of techniques.  I hope you like it.

Fun with Flowers

I ordered two fabulous Sherbet Pips stamps from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits and they arrived yesterday, wonderful fast delivery and the sweetest stamps ever.  Please keep looking as I will be stamping with these soon.

I have been spending far to much time playing with flower making.  I am really into spritzing colour and working with paper flowers.

Shadows of Warren

This image is 'Warren' from Craftwork Cards and is coloured and glittered and mounted as a shadow box card.  Lots of fun was had making this card.  Acetate has been used behind the card front.   All of the flowers on the card have been hand made by me using various punches  and coloured with chalk inks and Cosmic Shimmer Mist.  The centre of the larger flowers is from the 'Dynasty' flower centre range from Prima.  The leaves are die cut  using 'tattered leaves' die cut from Tim Holtz and and sprayed with Sprinkys in an antique shade.  The buttons are another die and twine has been used for the bows.  The butterfly is I think K & Co.
