Murray from Saturated Canary

Hello to all and Happy Tuesday.  It has been such a lovely day here, cold but sunny and we have just returned from an invigorating walk.    I hope this finds you well. 

My card for today features the fabulous image Murray from Saturated Canary which I purchased from the lovely Krista last week.  I have coloured this in several colour variations but will show the pink one today.  You may have noticed that pink is my favourite colour.


List of materials used to make this card:

Wonderful Murray image as listed above coloured using my new Copic Pens with a tiny touch of pencil detail.
Kanban shaped card base approx 5.5" x 8".
Designer papers are from my stash.
Die cuts are shaped rectangle, flower swirl, hearts are Sizzix, and Anja corner die to make hidden label detail.  I so love making these little hidden details.
Flowers and ribbon are from my stash and I have again been enthusiastic with the liquid pearls.

No Pastels for Simply Betty Group Challenge


Happy Monday to everyone from a freezing UK.  Its very grey and we seem to be stuck in some king of weather front, so this week will be more of the same.  But I can see the Spring just round the corner waving at me.  

My card for today features a fabulous Simply Betty image kindly provided for the Simply Betty Face book Group February Challenge and I have followed the guidelines no pastel colours.  



List of materials used to make this card:

Wonderful image coloured with my Promarker pens and with some pencil detail.
Wonderful design papers including Graphic 45, Kaisercraft and from my stash.
Embellishments include feather, ribbon, heart, bling swirl, glitter butterfly. feather, flowers, doily and boot.

6" x 6" card base with Designer Papers from my stash.
Wonderful Image mostly coloured using my Pencils.  I have used rough rustic style colouring as I think this suits the image.  There is a touch of Promarker detail and sky is created using Vintage Distress Inks.
Die cuts are butterfly corner from Joy Craft and a grass die plus Spellbinder leaves die.
Ribbon, twine, buttons and Prima Flowers are from  my stash.
Such a happy little card.

Easter Dress from Saturated Canary

 I was delighted to receive this gorgeous digital stamp Easter Dress from Saturated Canary and couldn't wait to colour her and here she is.  Many thanks to the super kind Krista for this.

Frieda Flapper from Kenny K

Hi to everyone on a very chilly Friday.  Yeah it will  soon be the weekend.  This card features another of my Kenny K prize digi stamps Frieda Flapper and she is fabulous.  I have coloured her in aqua blue shades which I think are my favourites at the moment.  She is so elegant and fun and would be perfect for a either a Mother's Day, Birthday Card or Anniversary Card.

Aqua coloured mounting boards cut this Spellbinder Dies
Wonder image as detailed above coloured using my trusty Promarker Pens with Flexmarker detail and with some sparkle on her shoes and a lovely Prima Flower on her head-dress.

Ribbon is crushed silk-like ribbon with Prima Flowers from my stash and fabulous wine glass pin.
Designer paper and detail are from my stash.

My card for today's Charisma Cardz Challenge  'One Layer Card'  features  my efforts at stamping and embossing using a butterfly stamp and embossing powder - Fine Gold  - from my stash.


A definition of a one layer card is provided below and I have used this as a guideline.

"One piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, where the image is stamped or printed directly onto the card stock."

I used a Kanban shaped card for my base, stamped this as detailed above.  I have added liquid pearls, a small piece of ribbon and one Prima flower.  To me this is minimal embellishment.

Grove Dude from Kenny K

Happy Tuesday to everyone.  I hope this finds you well.

My card for today features the fabulous image Grove Dude from Kenny K which can be found here.
  I made this card for my daughters partner who is a musician and has a birthday this week.
  I hope he likes it.
  I was lucky enough to win a recent Kenny K Challenge and this is one of the images  I had chosen as my prize.  You will probably be seeing them all soon.  So much humour and fun in these images.
