A Spring Thank You!

Hello to all.  I am back with an update on my cute freehand Easter bunny sketch.
I finished colouring his fur and added some further depth and dimension to his head and ears.
This project has been so much fun and I have enjoyed creating this illustration/artwork.

Bertram Bunny is the main focus for the card.  This is an Easter specific project but would be useful for a general 'Thank You' card.

Materials list:
Freehand sketch with graphite and Polychromos pencil
Coredinations card and designer papers
Stamped tag, distress inks, flowers, gems and burlap ribbon from my stash.
Wood grain embossing folder detail applied with Tim Holtz texture hammer.

A picture of Bertram as a work in progress.
A light sketch was drawn to place his features and outline shape in graphite pencil.
The infill continues with Polychromos pencils to create fur detail and depth and shade!

The Easter Bunny visits!

Hello to all.  I have had a very busy week and lots going on.  I stole half an hour for some freehand sketching this afternoon.  I was so pleased with what appeared on the paper that I thought I would share it with you.

This is Bertram Bunny.  He is a freehand sketch with graphite pencil and further detail with Polychromos pencils.
He is my first Easter Bunny and I will try and get him finished for the end of the week.

Hope this finds you all well!

Easter Basket Project with Spring Sprite.

Hello to all.  Its time for some mid-challenge inspiration at the Aurora Wings Challenge.
The theme this month is Bingo and its loads of fun!
You will find the details here!

Easter is fast approaching and I made an easy fold Easter basket to hold yummy mini chocolate eggs.  This is made from one scored and folded 12'' x 12'' sheet and then detail added.  Here is a link to a basic tutorial.  I have threaded a continuous twine through double punched holes.  The twine is secured and tied through the central button. I also added a sweet handle.

Materials list:
Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and Copic markers
White gel pencil
Coredinations Card and designer papers
Various floral die cuts, buttons, pearls.

I hope you will join us for the Bingo challenge!

I have used the central squares across the grid and picked flowers, die cuts and buttons. The colours are green, pink and a blue-turquoise.

Happy crafting fun to all!

The CAS card has been created for my husband.

Materials are:
Stamping card
Faber Castell Polychromos pencils

We have robins in the garden all year round.
They are particularly attached to my husband, who looks after them very well.
We also have an array of blackbirds etc. Last summer we had 4 huge blackbird chicks in the rose bush. They were massive and reluctant to go forth and fend for themselves.
I think a couple of them have returned for the winter.
We have a huge dominant male blackbird, he is beautiful! We call him Larryson, as we think he is the son of Larry, the blackbird we fed previously.
Enough of my waffle, this has been made for my husband. Hope he likes it!

Happy crafting fun to all!
