Wedding Memory Book.

Hello to all.
Following my daughter Suzanne's recent wedding to Harry and all of the beautiful pictures of the event.
I have made a memory book for Sue to collect precious moments from this fabulous day.

The book is 8 x 8 kraft sheets and I have included pictures and mementos.
You can view some of the pictures here:
The book is decorated with layers of kraft card, hessian, twine and lace.
A computer generated sentiment edged with distress inks.
One of the handmade buttonholes and several sentiments from the wedding were added.
The buttonholes were made using dried flowers, herbs and grass from my garden.
Each page has a picture collage, some smaller pictures and elements.
Plus an short written description.

To protect the buttonhole flowers from damage I made a box, using the same design layout.
One of the handmade sparkler labels is the central sentiment.
At the reception this was attached to a sparkler and contained a handmade match book with striker.
We had 100 sparklers so there are a lot of these about.

There are so many beautiful pictures and its a delight to see the happy couple enjoying their special day.

Happy crafting everyone.

Handmade Wedding Pinata Fun.

Hello lovely people, its been a while since I posted.
I have been working on projects for my daughters wedding.
This was on the 24th August.
We had amazing weather and the day went very well.

There were several fun events during the day and the family were all involved.
This project features a set of handmade personalised pinata.
The pictures in the collage reflects the wonderful atmosphere and magic of the whole wedding.
The happy couple, Sue and Harry, had a fabulous day!

Material used to make pinata couple:
Bodies:  Tubes containing sweets and rainbow paper shredding were created from Crafter's Companion Centura Pearl card.  These were decorated with crepe paper roll to create wedding garments.
The children at the evening reception loved these.
Heads:  Paper mache construction using balloons and copy paper strips or modelling bandage.
These were covered in several layers of Modge Podge and painted.
The features were added or painted with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers.
I made the nose and ears from plaster bandage.
The heads were then attached to the bodies.
Twine was used to suspend the pinata.
Pinata stick:  Covered with twine and decorated in the wedding theme.

Many congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs!

Happy crafting everyone!
