Tender thoughts

This is the beautiful 'Tender Thoughts' from ADFD and I am entering this card in  Challenge #25 - "It's a TWINE Thing"

When I first started making cards the guidline I followed was, don't spend more than 10 minutes per card.  Ha, something I have never been able to follow and the more I do, the longer they take.  Its fabulous.
The inspiration for this card is from the craft magazine blog, stampARTic, see link on my blog or via this page  http://stampartic.blogspot.com/search?q=magic+card  (I have not worked out how to be sophisticated and type clik 'here' for a link as yet, any tips would be gratefully received).   You may be seeing several projects from there over the next few weeks as the tutorial pages are fabulous.  The style of this card is Magic Card and it is.

Back to this wonderful image which I have coloured with  Promarker pens and some Prismacolour pencil touches.  There is stickles glitter on the little butterfly wings.  I have used blue and Spun suger Distress Inks round the image and mounted this on fabulous yellow check paper from my stash.  The backing paper is quality 12 x 12 sheet also from my stash but I can't remember what its called, as I cut it up before checking.  I have used the twine to crochet some little hearts which are decorated with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and also used some twine bows to decorate the buttons.  Further flowers and ribbon have been used on the front of the card and a double row of Martha Stewart paper lace die cuts.  The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly and I think this really compliments the card image. A beaded butterfly has also been created.

Showing the inside of the card with lovely verse and blank greeting panel, you can clearly see the double edge paper lace on the back of the card.

Hope you like the card and thank you so much for stoping by.  Please visit again.

Warmest wishes to all.

Bling and Swirls - Little friends

This card has been made using the Karen Middleton Digi Stamp - Little Friends and I am entering the card for Challenge #8 – Swirls & Bling over at Cuddly Buddly.

I have coloured the image using Prismacolour pencils and blending stumps and some Promarker pens.  Glitter has been used to highlight the image and figure.  The card is a Octo step card using a template from B -C-E  and was fun to cut out.  Distress  Ink  was used to create the sky behind the image and lots and lots of bling and swirls have been used to decorate the card.  I have glued little gems using Glossy Accents as this makes a really stong bond,  Ribbon and flower are from my stash.

This is my card for today.  I hope you like it.  Sending warmest wishes to all.

Shall I Play

Happy Saturday to all.  This card features  the adorable Little drummer boy with puppy image from Mo Manning's Digital Pencil and I will be entering the card for  Challenge #96 - Feeling BLUE.....

This is just the cutest image which I love to colour.  I have used Promarkers and the new Letraset flexmarkers and have followed the challenge and used shades of blue.  The image was lightly glittered and cut out and mounted on a shaped die cut which I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The papers used for the card are from Cuddly Buddly and I have printed these on super smooth paper and they look and feel delicious.  I have used various cutting dies to make the embellisments and have used mini pearls to decorate these.  The mini label is created with a Whimsy label cutting die, is coloured with distress inks and stamped with a greeting from Butterfly Kisses at Hobby Art.  The flowers are mostly lace or frosted roses from Kort & Godt and are beautifuul.

This is an Easel Card and I have used the same papers to decorate the inside.  I have made a cute little pocket and another label sits inside the pocket to record a greeting.  The Merry Christmas tag is from Craftwork Cards and has been distressed using Tim Holts Distress Ink - tumbled glass, which is a favourite shade at present.  Die cuts have been cut from blue glitter card stock and match the front of the card.

Thank you for looking at my card and reading this post.  Sending warmest wishes to all.

The fabulous image is the Winter Fairy from Wee Stamps which I have coloured using Prismacolour pencils, glittered and added Polar White Flower Soft for the fur trim.

The image is mounted as a shaker card and I have added some lovely Snowflake sequins.  The card is decorated with paper from my stash.  The scrolls and poinsettia are created using various papers to include Cuddly Buddly Cotage Collection.  I have beaded a tree embellishment for the front of the card and decorated with lovely ribbon, flowers and a Christmas Bell.
