Santa on Skates

Happy sunny morning for the UK to all in Blogland.  Hope this finds all of you lovelies well.  It is a beautiful morning here, so sunny but cold. I can feel the winter nip on my nose and toes.

My card for today features the fabulous Digital Stamp Santa on Skates.  I recently won a Challenge at Eureka Stamps and this was part of my prize, thank you ladies.  He is really cute and has been such fun to work with.  I have been asked to make some Christmas cards with a theme for a little boy and I hope this fits the bill.    Sorry this post is a bit picture heavy but he is such a sweetie and had to be shown.

List of Materials used to make this card.

Wonderful image as listed above coloured using a mixture of pencils - Polychrome and Prismacolour Pencils -it made colouring the red easier.  Gel pen highlights and lots of glitter.  I have used 3 different kinds of glitter to create depth/dimension which does not show on the picture.
Base card is Core'dinations card cut to 6" x 6".
Designer papers are so sweet and are Hely Cuppleditch - Special Delivery and Socking Fillers from First Edition.
Red Satin Ribbon is by Anita's Ribbons and the Christmas red and silver ribbons are from my stash.
The little jingle bells really jingle - they are so cute.
I have used a lot of die cuts on this card.  Spellbinder circles for image and mount and for aperture in front of card.  Sizzix Merry Christmas die cut in mirror card and glittered.  Trees are from Memory Box and I have cut these and frosted with some lovely Glitter Snow Paste.
Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and this is mounted on further Spellbinder Circles.

A closer view of this so sweet Santa and design detail.  I love it when a card work.  I seldom know how a card will progress when I start with the image or how it will look when finished.  I am always relieved when it works.

Showing the inside details of the card with further die cut tree and showing other trees on front of card viewed through aperture.

Love this boy, a closer look.  Are you fed up yet?

I would like to enter this card for the following Challenges:

http://craftybootschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ - Use Three - Three Trees and Jingle Bells

Final view just to end on and showing little tag behind main image for recording of a greeting.  Yippeeeee  I hear you shout.

Sending  warmest wishes to you all.

Hugs

     X

It's a really sweet Christmas card! The image is fun and I think the design paper you've used is such a fab detail since the card is for a young boy. Great tag too!
