A Wee Card

This is the Silver Fairy from Wee Stamps and is a stunning digi image.  I have coloured mine in shades of blue, green and gold and embellised with mini pearls and glitter.  It is sooo pretty.  The image is mounted onto glittered card and then onto Bo Bunny, Gabrielle paper.

Ribbon ruffle detail, hand made by me with rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and metal butterfly embellishment from the Gabrielle range.

Die Cut Butterfly showing glitter and mini pearls.

Butterfly enmbellishment from K & Co, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and fabric ribbon on paper lace ribbon from Webster's Pages

Inside of card with verse from the Gabrielle range from Bo Bunny.

Inside of card with panel for greeting.

This card has been such fun to make.  It is so enjoyable to match the colours, the papers and the images and create a card.

Take care.

So many cards so little me.

New Christmas items are being released for 2011, what fun.  I have just coloured my first Christmas stamp which I will be posting soon.  I love making Christmas cards and started last year in July so I'm a  bit early this year.

Glittered image from a Day for Daisies.

What a sweet image from a Day for Daisies.  This is a digi stamp and I have coloured and glitter this, the glitter looks fabulous and then I applied tiny pearls to the image.  Various pearls and ribbon and paper embellishments made using my cutting dies and punches have been used to decorate the card which is mounted onto Wild Rose Studio polka dots paper stack.

Above is a close up of some of the decoration of the card.  My cards usually measure about 6" x 6" and are supplied in a matching made to fit box.

A mounted verse inside of the card.

A panel is provided for a greeting.

Fabulous fairy shaped card

I have some new shaped 6" x 6" card banks and have used the Wild Rose Sudio polka dots paper stack to mount this image of a fabulous fairy from a Day for Daisies.  This is a digi image, coloured and glittered by me.  The glitters are ultra fine Diamond Sparkles and the colours are gorgeous.

The inside of the card showing a mounted verse.  The outside of each backing paper has been coloured with vintage ink.

A greeting panel page.

This is enough for tonight, I am a very sad person as I have been sitting listing the cards and watching Springwatch on telly.  Now its time for a cup of tea.  I really know how to rock.
Take care.

Today's Card

Today's card features a lovely dancer image from A Day For Daisies.  This is a digi image which I have coloured and glittered.  These are my favourite images at the moment although I change my mind with each new card

The backing paper for the card is The Chanteuse Collection from Kaisercraft and is gorgeous.  I have added paper embellishments which come from the card pack.  There is a mixture of flowers on the card.  I have made the larger pink carnation style flowers and there are some beautiful roses with lace from Kort & Godt, I love these they are so pretty.  I have also added flower from Wild Orchid Crafts.   The paper emellishments have been hand made by me and coloured to match the blowsy flowers.   There is also a  beaded hatpin on the card.  I make handmade boxes for all of the decorated cards and these are decorated and made in a matching shade.

I hope you enjoyed looking at this card, I love looking at cards and seeing what people do with the images and papers.    Best wishes to all.  Laine.

A new day and some new cards

This week I have been thinking of fairies.  I have used my Linda Ravenscroft  'Enchanted'  CD to have lots of fun making cards from the beautiful images.  I love shopping for and using best quality crafting materials and using this to produce my cards.

I have used Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle' paper for the backgound of the card and on the inside panels.  The fairy image is 7 layers of decoupage  which have been glittered with Glitz Stickles.  The ribbons are from my stash and the butterfly I think is from K & Co.   I have made the large blue poppy flowers using two of my punches.  The smaller 'lace' flowers are made using a Martha Stewart punch.  These have been coloured with promarkers and sprayed with glimmer mist and decorated with Glitz Stickles.  I have also used my Martha Stewart punch to make the paper lace ribbons.

Another Fairy Card

This is another card using the 'Enchanted' CD.  I have used Cameo toppers and matching backing paper from the CD.  Some of the flowers have been made by me using various punches and others are from my stash,  as is the seam binding ribbon and peeloffs.  I have used a couple of Tim Holtz ticket sentiments on the inside of the card

I dream in flowers

A most beauttiful image from the same CD, using 6 layers of decoupage, which have been glittered with stickles.   Bo Bunny papers have again been used and I have made the flowers.  I have used a doiley cutting die and the ribbon is satin and from my stash.  Paper lace using a Martha Stewart punch and a quote reproduced by McMahon Five  Designs.

A zodiac fairy

This is the Linda Ravenscroft 'Cancer'  Zodiac Fairy and I have again used matching paper and insert.  The popies have been made by me and the lace flowers.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I have made the paper lace doillies using a cutting die and the rest is from my stash.    I have used stickles to glitter the fairy.

More fairies??

Yes more faries.  This is on of my favourite images and I so enjoy using this.  It is ultra cute.   The image is 'Fairy in an English Teacup' from Mo Manning and is a digi stamp.  I have coloured this with promarkers, added glitter and mounted on to pretty spotty card.   I have used my punches and have made the faded vintage flower.  Flower making is a  bit of an obsession with me at present.  I love, love, love to make them.  Ribbon and vintage seam binding, pins and gems have been used from my stash plus some Prima flowers and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  There are the most fabulous goodies available for crafting with at present and the choice is getting better and better.  Bang goes the bank balance again.  I have used ticket sentiments from Tim Holtz.

'Cherry' by Mo Manning

Not a fairy but just as cute.  This is a digi image from Mo Manning which I coloured and glitter and mounted onto this card.  It is a delightful image.  I have used vintage style backing paper and flowers and ribbons and pins and hearts from my stash.  Lots of work goes into the making of each of these cards and they give me great joy.  I hope you like them too.

Last but not least - Teddy Bea

The delightful Teddy Bea from Teddy Bo & Co is a digital stamp and again is coloured by me using promarker pens and then glittered with 'Stickles.   I have used plain card for the backing of this image and this has all been embossed.  Lots of flowers and ribbon has been used on this card.  The image is mounted on a hand crochet doilley.   I have used a variety of cutting dies for background and embellishments.

Phew this is the end for today.  Lots of work to show and I hope you like it.  Please leave your comments or suggestions.   I look forward to hearing from you.

First past the post.

These are some of the cards which I have previously made to give examples of my work.  There are some fabulous artists creating wonderful images and I use a variety of sources and techniques to produce my cards.

This card was made using a stamp form Lilli of the Valley and was coloured with Promarker pens and fabulous flowers and lace and backing papers were used.  The decorated box is shown under the card.  I love Lilli of the Valley, the quality of the products make these a joy to work with

This is the inside of the card above.  What fun with ribbons and glue

This card is using a Mo Manning image called 'Cherry' and is so cute.  The image was coloured using Promarker pens and I used lots of flowers and ribbons.  The decorated card box is below the card.

This is the inside of the card using matching paper and decoration.

This card uses an image from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits the image is Joy Sitting and is lovely.  I have made this into an easel card and had  lots of fun with embellishing and cutting dies.

This is the end of my first post on my new blog, it has taken me hours, but I have enjoyed it.  Hope to hear from you soon.  Very happy crafting to you all.
