A foxy 'flicking' tutorial for Spectrum Noir

Hello to everyone.  I hope this finds you well.  I had such fun colouring the Fox image from Oak Pond Creations and had such fabulous feeback on the colouring of this image.  I would like to share a step by step tutorial on colouring animal fur using the 'flicking' technique, as my monthly tutorial for Spectrum Noir.  I have used the sweet image Fox Family from Oak Pond Creations.

List of materials used to make this card:

Image Fox Family from Oak Pond Creations.
Spectrum Noir markers and pencils used are listed in the tutorial.
DP and card from my stash.
Fran-tage - Shabby Blue.
Ribbon, bling and flowers from my stash.
Sentiment is computer genterated and cut with a tag die.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post and look at my card.

Sending hugs to all from,

X

Oh Laine, this card is a dream. I love foxes so I really love this image. And your colouring is stunning. I went over to read your tutorial, for me since english is not my mother language it would be better to see it in a YouTube film since I don't understand everyting exactly. Is flicking a swipe motion you make, from the edge towards the middle ?
I did understand a lot though and found it a very good tutorial.
Love, Veerle xxxxx

Hi Veerle Yes flicking is a colouring techniqe where a light stroke of colour is applied to the image in one direction, usually from edge to middle and you lay down layers of colour. I have not progressed to making YouTube films as yet. Perhaps one day.
