Exciting news, worldwide launch of Spectrum Noir Aqua samples at CHA 2015.

Hello to everyone.  Crafter's Companion are launching a new water-based marker - Spectrum Aqua at the CHA.  I was so delighted to be asked to provide some samples for the launch and to use the fabulous new markers. 

You can view the marker launch on Create and Craft on Sunday at 3pm.  

Watercolour is a relatively new technique for me and I am learning as I go.    
These new markers make it all so easy.  Colour straight from the marker or blend your colours on a palette or block.  I am hooked on watercolour.

The Blue Bird - Art by Miram.

Hello to everyone.  I hope this finds you well.  I would like to share a sweet creation for The Outlawz Friday Color Challenge.  This week the theme is Fairy Tales/Myth.   My creation is based on the story of 'The Blue Bird', you will find details of the story here.  I have used the so cute image 'A birdie told me' by Art by Miran, this months Friday Color Challenge sponsor to make my card.

I have used the Spellbinder die Labels 41 to make the 'frame' for my card.  Because of this detail and the style of the outfit in the image, the card has an oriental feel.

Purples and Pinks for Spectrum Noir.

Hello to all.  I hope this finds you well.

Its time for another monthly colouring tutorial for Spectrum Noir.  This month I have used the so sweet image Octavia Thinking from Polka Doodles.  This is such a cute image and a complete delight to colour. 

We have had requests on the Spectrum Noir FB page for guidance on colouring with pinks and purples.  Hopefully this tutorial will provide some help.

Five, plus a couple of extra, favourite cards of 2014.

Hello to everyone.  I have a quieter crafting day today and enjoyed a short journey through my creations for 2014. 

Its not often that you look back through your body of work and its nice to see a progression.  

I have a post on the Spectrum Noir Blog listing some favourites, but these change from day to day.  Crafter's Companion USA also have some of my favourite Crafter's Companion cards and projects listed here.   Debbie is hosting this retrospective and its fun to join in.  These are my favouriteSpectrum Noir colourings for today.

This is one of my recent creations. Its a fabulous image and was a complete delight to colour and design with.

Lizzie - Simply Adorables

How sweet is this image.  Its coloured on Kraft card using Spectrum Noir pencils.  I have a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir blog for colouring this image and I was really pleased with the finished colouring. 

Mad Hatter - Hannah Lynn 

This was my first card for the Outlawz Challenge DT and I really enjoyed colouring this fabulous image.  

Gertie Fish - Whimsy Stamps

Such a fun image and an amazing response to this card.  Its one of my most popular colourings.

One of my favourite SLC projects.  Love these fabulous images.

Strawberry Girl - Mo Manning

This image really makes my heart sing.  It reminds me so much of my younger daughter when she was little.  I think this is my favourite Maurie colouring of 2014.  Image is coloured on kraft card with Spectrum Noir pencils.

I Wuf You - Tiddly Inks

I remember when I coloured this image.  I was so pleased with the shine I managed to create on her hair.
