A Little Festive Sparkle - Spectrum Noir November Tutorial.

Hello to everyone.  I have been painting with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens on one of my favourite images - A little Bit Festive - Sheena Douglass for Crafter's Companion - Christmas Visitor    

I would like to link this blog post to my November tutorial for Spectrum Noir, where I have a step by step on colouring the main image and the holly detail. 

Spectrum Noir products used to make the project above are listed in the tutorial.

Silver Bells.

Hello to everyone.  I would like to share my weekly DT card for Crafter's Companion IIDT.  I have had loads of fun with this one and its full of sparkle and glitter, which my camera struggles to capture!  The image is so versatile and would be perfect for a wedding card.  Will have to give it a try!

This card was also made for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge and is my DT card for this week.  You can find the challenge here.  

Its a fabulous sketch this week and I really had to get my thinking cap on!

 I was lucky enough to have won this sweet image, earlier in the year, from Patties Creations and have really enjoyed colouring her.

Feather definition and detail was created by the 'flicking technique'.

'Sky' detail created using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen - Starry Sky -  applied to watercolour card. 'Moon' had been masked with Pebeo Drawing Gum and pen applied with painbrush to moistened card and painted over.  Gesso applied with toothbrush to create 'snowfall'.

Festive Sparkle Markers.

Hello to everyone.  I would like to share a card that I made, for the launch of the fabulous new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers. 

I have coloured with the markers directly onto watercolour card.  They have rich, intense pigments and are so much fun to colour with. 

Technique: Sparkle applied directly from markers to watercolour card, die cuts and Centura Pearl mat.

Beautiful Waterlily for Splitcoaststampers and Crafter's Companion.

Hello to everyone.  Sharing my DT card for this weeks Sketch Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.   Its another fabulous, fun sketch and creates a great layout. I have  used Crafter's Companion products to make this card and will share it as my CCIIDT card for this week.

Techniques used:  Sparkle pens used to colour waterlily image, which has been stamped twice and is very 3D is 'real life'.

Background applied via palette and dry brush technique.

Sparkle pens applied directly to stamp for butterfly and dragonfly decoration

Smaller butterflies are die cut from extra embossed detail using Sara Signature dies.
