Playing with sand

Hello to everyone. 
 I hope you are managing to keep warm and dry in this awful spell of weather we are having.  
My card share for today features a male themed card using a Stamp and DP from the Camden Town range from Crafter's Companion.


I have been exploring creating texture using alcohol markers with some of my recent cards and in this one I have used craft sand coloured with my Spectrum Noir Markers to create depth and extra texture.  This image brings back many happy memories, as we used to have a split screen camper van.

Eye colouring tutorial for Spectrum Noir Markers

Hello to everyone I hope this finds you well.  

 Today I have a colouring tutorial to share with you, posted on the Spectrum Noir Blog.

 I have used the image Amber Eyes from Crafts and Me.  
I was intrigued by the eye colours used and thought I would case the image and provide a tutorial on my interpretation for colouring these beautiful eyes.

Crafty Individuals design paper which were embossed and distressed using gilding wax, gold and patina.
Die cut mount is a Spellbinder Die.  I also used a Marianne clock die, distressed with gilding wax and flower sprays.
Ribbon, flowers are Prima and bling are from my stash.
Card base and detail are kraft card.

Wonderful Brambly Hedge

Hello to everyone and a happy Wednesday.  
This week is rushing past, like every other.  I am so looking forward to the longer days and more daylight for colouring.  
 My card for today features another cute Brambly Hedge image from Crafter's Companion.  I really do love this little fellow.


This is another one of my Creative Cardmaking Magazine cards which I have been sharing with you this week.  It has been a delight to provide my first stand alone feature and I so enjoyed exploring all of the techniques I used to add texture to alchol marker colour.

A sweet little Friend

Hello to everyone.  Did you enjoy your weekend?  It was lovely here on Sunday, mild and for once, sunny.  We found a butterfly in the conservatory, never seen that before in January.  I think we are in for a spell of much colder weather but its mid-January and spring is fast approaching.

A sweet Barkley creation.

Hello to everyone and Happy Saturday.  
I hope you are well and the weather is being kind to you. 
 Its so wet here.  I can't remember another winter with so much rain, but it has been mild.

I have a sweet Barkley creation to share with you today. 
I don't usually find male cards easy to create but I loved working on this one and Barkley is so very sweet.

Colourful Friends

Good evening to everyone.  Have you had a good day? 
 I have been out and about most of the day and got rather wet.


I have been having more fun using my Spectrum Noir Pens (and a little pencil detail crept in - I can't resist them).  
This image is Wendy from Saturated Canary.  Its one of my favourite Saturated Canary images.  I love her serene face. 
 I have been trying to bring more definition to my face colouring using my wonderful Speccies.

A little spring card to brighten your day - colour blending practice

Hello to everyone and Happy Monday.  I hope you are well and had a good weekend.

I have a sweet little card to share with you today featuring Goosey Gander from Sugar Nellie.  


I am a bit obsessed with blending colour tones at the moment and the new Spectrum Noir marker are an absolute dream to blend with. 
 Here is a link to a blending tutorial which I have found so useful. 
 I have also used the flicking technique to colour the hair of this cute little girl using the new Spectrum Noir Brush Nibs.

Sharing another Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils preview for CHA

A sneak peek of the new Spectum Noir Blendable Pencils. My first project for CHA.

I am so very excited to share a project I have made, using the new Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils from Crafter's Companion.

 The pencils really are a joy to use with a wonderful range of colours, fabulous tonal shades and are so easy to blend.  They also work beautifully with my Spectrum Noir Pens.
