Greeting to everyone this lovely sunny winter afternoon. Hope the weather is being kind to you. My card for today features the wonderful Digital Stamp - Casting Down Imagination from Crafts and Me. Drawn by Sara Burrier this really is a beautiful image.
I would like to enter this card for the following Challenges :o)
The Tutorial for this card can be found here. I have used the tutorial a couple of times now, it is straightforward and easy to use and makes a lovely size of card - approx 6' x 6'. I enjoy the folding technique for the 'book' insert. The papers are all from my stash and the card is mostly in shades of pink and some white. The lovely image from Crafts and Me has been coloured in using ProMarker and FlexMarker pens and glittered with Stickles. I have die cut the image and mounted this on a doily and a couple of die cut panels. The Swirls are Die-namic Die Cuts and the corner flourish is made using a Spellbinder die. The flowers are Cheery Lynn Designs - mini roses and I love making these at the moment. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and is vintage Seam binding and the Pins and lovely silver coloured beads are from my stash. The edging of the card and 'book' are created using a Martha Stewart punch. The hearts and gems are from my stash, as is the lace.
Image showing the inside of the card. One side is decorated with a die cut flourish and two die cut panels. Inside of the panels is a distressed edge label for recording of a greeting, this is decorated with two Marianne Heart Die Cuts coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The folding of the 'book' is shown on this image, this has also been distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Inks. A Spellbinder die cut has been used to mount the On you Birthday Stamp which is from Lili of the Valley.
