Animal Print Shoe Box

Sending warmest wishes to all on this very chilly Sunday afternoon.  I have been very naughty and neglected my blog recently as I have been concentrating on getting the family Christmas organised.  I think I am almost there and am now just waiting for last minute pressies and shoping to arrive and on to the big day.  I do enjoy the lead up to Christmas.

I am not posting a card today but a box.  This is the next project in my paper shoe obsession.  I have visited many fabulous sites and seen some wonderful shoe projects recently by searching via Goggle on paper shoe images.  There are very creative crafters out there. 

This project has been to make a box to hold a necklace which I bought for my elder daughters Christmas.  Two of her favourite things are shoes and animal print (fake fun fur).  So the shoe above was created to fill this criteria.

The box top was made from a sheet of foiled Kanban paper and I have used foiled swirl die cuts on the box and on the shoe.  The wonderful shoe template is from Chocolate Baroque and can be found here.  The animal print card was in my stash and I have used mirror card - gold for  the lining of the shoe.  The underneath of the shoe is made from red mirror card.  I have used lovely beads for the heel and these are held together with thin metal wire.  The flowers are all Spellbinder Rose die cuts made from plain white paper and coloured with Tim Holtz Distress inks and glittered.  I have used a wonderful rich gold ribbon and feathers, lace, embellishments and pins from my stash.  I really hope my daughter likes the finished product.

Fabulous Festive Shoe Card

Hello and Happy Day to everyone.  Today's card features a template from Chocolate Baroque which I have made into a Christmas Shoe and this card will be for my Mum.  There will be extra personal decoration added to the card for Mum and I am only showing the outside image.

I am a bit obsessed by these fabulous little shoes and if you visit regularly you will see my future efforts. 

I have used paper form my stash to make the backing for the shoe and the shoe itself is made from the template found above and fabulous Christmas papers from my stash which I have added glitter stars to and added embellishments from The Ribbon Girl.   Pins, bling, flowers, ribbon and lace are from my stash.  I have reduced the size of the shoe template to fit a 6" x 6" card and it is delightfully delicious to work with.  I spent hours choosing papers and decoration.  Far to much fun.

I have coloured the Card using ProMarker pens and shaded using FlexMarkers and covered the wings and skirt frill in glitter.  I have used Spellbinder dies to cut out the image and contrasting backing papers.  All papers are from my Stash.  I found some lovely die cut snowflakes with crystals in my stash and these have been added to the card.  I have die cut a snowflake swirl and decorated this with tiny  pearls.  Ribbon, lace, flowers and greeting panels are all from my stash.  I glittered the background paper to resemble frosting and it looks really seasonal.  I have not used traditional images or colours on the whole this year to make my Christmas Cards and have enjoyed making a series of cards mostly in pinks, purples and blues.  With the odd touch of red and green.

Sparkling Fairy

Happy chilly Sunday greeting to all.  Its still sunny here but is getting colder. 

Today's easel card features the fabulous Autumn Digital Stamp from Crafts and Me and can be found here.   I have coloured the card in lovely pink and lilac shades and glittered and frosted to create a Christmas Fairy.

The wonderful image has been coloured using ProMarker and FlexMarker pens and then glittered with Stickles and silver glitter.  Several layers of paper have been used to mount the card and silver die cut snowflakes and flowers and embellishments from my stash.

A Saturated Christmas Fairy

Happy sunny Saturday to everyone.  Its lovely and sunny here, a perfect Autumn afternoon.

Today's card features the fabulous 'Whispy a Fairy'  image from Saturated Canary and can be found here.  I think you will agree she is very beautiful.  I have as usual got carried away with making this card.  The idea for the double pocket diagonal fold card can be found here.

The card has  been made from one sheet of 12" x 12" paper from my stash and folded as per the instructions above.  The edges of the paper have been distressed and lace trim and ribbon have been added to the pockets.  The lovely image from Saturated Canary has been coloured mostly using FlexMarker pens, which I am loving more and more and detail has been added with  ProMarker pens.  Various cutting dies have been used to include Spellbinders for cutting image and spotted rose decoration and leaves.  Frosty border from Memory Box, flourishes from Die-namics, small tag from Magnolia Do Hickey Dies and snowflakes from Marianne Designs Creatables.

The large tag has several die cuts and a stamped panel from Butterfly Kisses.  Other flowers and embellishments are from my stash.

Holly the Christmas Friendship Fairy

Happy days to all, its cool here today.  Today's card features the lovely image Holly the Friendhship Fairy from Michelle Perkett which can be found here.

I have made a 'Book Card', this is a technique I have used before but have used the tutorial  provided here. I am pleased with the size of the end card which is almost a  6" x 6".

Papertake Weekly Challenge - When is a card not a card? When its a....

The image has  been coloured using ProMarker Pens and has been glittered. I have used various papers from my stash.  Die cuts are Dienamics and edge details using a Martha Stewart punch with distressed edges - Vintage Photo from Tim Holtz.  Flowers and peel offs are from my stash.  I have tried to create a vintage feel to this card.  There is a metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Christmas Cutie from Saturated Canary

This is my third and last card for today, phew!!!!  These cards have been so much fun to make and my old brain has been working over colour combinations and does this or that work. Anyway this is the finished product and I hope you like her.  She is a real cutie pie.

I have used my Promarker and FlexiMarker pens to colour this image and she is so sweet.  The image is die cut and mounted on lovely mosly pink papers from my stash.  Lots of embellishments, flowers, lace, ribbon and a metal charm have been used to decorate the card.
