Daisy Chain

Happy Day to everyone.  Its still really cold here, the snow is taking its time to clear and I want some sun!!   I hope the weather is not to awful where you are.  The weather forecast here is for temperatures in double figures next week -  so bring it on.

My card for today features the sweet Daisy Chain image from Lili of the Valley. The  image has been stamped and coloured with ProMarker and FlexMarker pens, cut with a Spellbinder Die and mounted on a doily.  I have distressed the backing papers, this is  good fun.   I used an emery board.
I have used various embellishments and ribbon from my stash and Martha Stewart punch to mount the ribbon. I have also used some deep lace to decorate the card.   The butterflies are made using an Anna Griffin punch and I have made all of the flowers and leaves.  The small roses were made using Cheery Lynn Design Mini Roses,  I love this die.  The larger roses are from a Spellbinder die and the Chrysanthemum is a Cheery Lynn Design Die.  I have used Tim Holtz distress Ink to colour all of the flowers and the leaves are made using a Martha Stewart punch.  I think that covers everything, lots of fun was had by me.

A closer view of this lovely image.

Lili's Birthday Fairy

Hello to everyone on another sunny, freezing cold day.  We are waiting for more snow to fall overnight and are not looking forward to it at all.  We nearly lost the conservatory roof on Sunday due to the weight of the snow and my husband had devised a system of brushes and boxes to support it, until he got it cleared.  Necessity is the mother of invention.

On to my card for today.  This features the very lovely stamp Birthday Fairy from Lili of the Valley.  The image has been coloured using my Pro Marker and Flex Marker pens and highlighted with Stickles.  The backing papers are from my stash and the card is decorated with ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and a mixture of cutting dies.  The large flowers have been made by me using Cheery Lynn Design mini rose and Spellbinder dies and the other flowers are from my stash and from The Ribbon Girl.  The leaves have been die cut and coloured with ink.  The butterfly is made using a Magnolia Die and decorated with tiny pearls.  The sentiment is a stamp from Lili of the Valley mounted on a distressed Spellbinder die cut.  I have used the soft shades of Spring to create the card.

I would like to enter this card for the following Challenges :o)

Ruby red Shoes

Greetings to everyone.  It is beautifully sunny but very cold here today.  Wonderful to look at not so much fun if you have to go outside.

My card for today features the fabulous 'Kansas' image from Mo Manning and Dorothy is wearing her lovely sparkling ruby red shoes.

The image is coloured using Pro Marker and Flex Marker pens and I have decorated the lovely little shoes with red sparkling Stickles.  The image is die cut using a Spellbinder Label die and is mounted on a fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs Heart Frame - this may be my favourite cutting die at present.  The flowers are from my sash as is the fine lace and seam binding ribbon.  I have uses a Marianne die to make the little heart buttons and use embroidery floss and pearls to decorate.  The leaves are made using another Spellbinder die and the lovely double layer butterfly is decorated with more pearls and is made using a Cheery Lynn Designs Die.  The backing paper is Hot of the Press and I have layered the front - but you can't see this clearly because of the detail.

A closer image of the front of the card showing detail.  I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges  :o)

This is just a quick post for today, hope you like the card.

I was delighted to discover yesterday that this card was a winner of the Challenge above.

The Lovely Vivienne

Good afternoon to everyone.  I hope this finds you well.   It is very, very chilly here and we have had our first snow of the winter.  Looking out of the window I can see a huge flock of Fieldfair's ( a type of Thrush)  who have come in from the fields to feast on the Holly Berries on the tree next door.

Back onto my card for today.  I have used Kanban Stamp Set  - Vivienne to create the card.  I have a sort of a Wardrobe shape going on in the front and the doors open onto an inner image with tag.  I have then attached this to a  6" X 6" card base.

Pro Marker and Flex Marker pens have been used to decorate the stamped images and I have used some little jewels for decoration.  The papers are from my stash and the edges have been distressed using vintage ink to give a more vintage look .  The patterned backing papers are Hot of the Press.  I have also used Brads, tassel's and vintage ribbon seam binding from my stash.  I have made the mini roses using a Cheery Lynn Design cutting die.

I would like to enter this card for the following Challenges :o)

Showing the inside of the 'wardrobe' with another stamped, coloured dress image and matching papers and background stamped with the same stamp set and the edges of the card have been distressed.  A pocket has been made and a double decorated label is in the pocket for recording of a greeting.

This is the decorated inside of the card with matching papers and stamped and coloured images.  The greeting is ' Wishing you a Magical Birthday' a stamp from Lili of the Valley mounted onto a Spellbinder die cut.   There is a further panel for a message on the inside of the card and again I have stamped and distressed the backing card.

Thank you for reading this post.

Sending warmest wishes to all of you on this snowy day.
